Education Abroad Info Sessions

Study or Intern Abroad
Study or Intern Abroad Info Sessions are Mandatory prior to the semester you plan to study abroad!  These sessions are held at the start of each semester, and contain necessary explanations of important policies and procedures put forth by Quinnipiac University with regards to education abroad.
If you are planning to study or intern abroad Winter and/or Spring 2018 you will need to have attended an information session by Tuesday, September 14th!  If you have not attended a study abroad session by this date, you will be ineligible to study abroad for Winter/Spring 2018
DATES, TIME, LOCATIONS OF INFO SESSIONS BELOW

Steps for Studying Abroad
1) Attend "Education Abroad Information Session"
Sessions are held during the first two weeks of the start of every semester. Find out about opportunities to study abroad, costs of study abroad, academic considerations, financial aid and scholarships, and how to choose a program that is best for you. This is the perfect opportunity to have all of your questions answered. Here is a link to session (times and dates change by semester)
2) Think About the Experience You Want to Have
Create the experience you wish by considering the following: What countries appeal to you? Would you like to learn or practice a foreign language? Do you enjoy urban settings, or rural ones? Do you want to go abroad for a few weeks, a semester, or an academic year? Think about how you as a person will adjust to the environment and culture you would like to be a part of.
3) Research Program Options
Come to Study Abroad Walk-in-hours http://quinnipiac.abroadoffice.net/Walk-in-Hours.html to explore your goals for studying abroad. Browse Quinnipiac study abroad portal for approved study abroad programs. http://quinnipiac.abroadoffice.net/index.html
4) Talk with an Academic Advisor
Once you have narrowed down your choices to two or three programs, plan to meet with your academic advisor to map out your course work to stay on track to graduate. Discuss what Quinnipiac courses are best to set aside for study abroad and determine what time is best for you to study abroad.
5) Choose a Program and Apply
Once you find a program that is a good fit for your interests, you will need to complete two applications: (1) The Quinnipiac University Stud Abroad Application, which allows the Department of Cultural and Global Engagement to help you manage your abroad experience, ensure that you will earn academic credit and remain in good standing at Quinnipiac while you are away; and (2) the application for the study abroad program in which you have chosen to participate.
